We are extremely proud of our longstanding engagement with BCC Elektro-speciaalzaken BV, the popular electronics retail company based in the Netherlands, which we value as a committed business partner.
We helped BCC in their digital transformation processes and came to re-write the retail company’s checkout process in .NET with Azure deployment. Then we stayed to migrate legacy e-commerce systems to a microservices-based architecture.
Blocshop was initially engaged in 2015 to re-write BCC’s checkout process in .NET with Azure deployment. After successfully delivering on this workload, we have been tasked with migrating legacy e-commerce systems to a Microservices based architecture.
We have used Scrum as a method of collaboration and the planning sessions, daily meetings and retrospectives have supported us in delivering quality work and forging strong relationships between the teams. In terms of the technical stack, new features are written in Angular with backends in .NET Core and deployed to Azure. The legacy systems are being migrated from SSIS, Silverlight and .NET Forms.
A subsidiary of the French e-commerce giant Fnac Darty, BCC is one of the leading brands specializing in the sale of electronic and Smart Home products in the Netherlands. The company employs 1,300 staff across 65 stores in addition to offering their retail products over a leading digital platform.
